Christian's

Work In Progress

Painting Stages:

Here's baby Christian's work in progress.  So far I painted his veins, mottling which is not really noticeable because I painted in the beginning before I started painting the darker complexion skin tones on my African American babies to give depth and realism.  I also paint African American babies in almost thicker paint mixtures because I just think it's easier for me to achieve realistic African American baby skin tones.  So he is painted so far with 1-4 layers of flesh 04 as you see in the pictures below.  You may notice that the bottom of his hands, feet, and lips are still pale (meaning they haven't been painted yet) that is because when I paint my African American babies, I wait until when I'm about done painting the doll to start painting the soles of the hands and feet and lips because to me, it's like the final touches of painting African American reborn babies.

A little Update!!

Hi everyone!!  I decided to come on and give everyone a little Work In Progress of baby Christian.  He's coming out really nice cute!  He going to be a handsome little guy.  Lol!  So far, I was just building up to 5 layers of his shading and he's really coming to life before my eyes after each layers I apply on his kit.
